Carol is a #1 International Bestselling Amazon author, TEDx speaker, and success coach. As a trauma-informed developmental psychologist, she brings your birthright of SASS—Self-Aware Success Strategies to help you get along better on the adult playgrounds you play on.
Widely known as a remarkably talented and inspiring educator, Carol’s authenticity, warmth, humor, and skills elevate her impact with every audience. Get next to her—via digital-video connection, in-person in a classroom or auditorium, or shoulder-to-shoulder in a team meeting—and get more SASSy!
Carol knows that your success today is determined by your relationships with others: at home, at work, and in the wider world. She also knows you assembled your basic toolkit for living authentically in your relationships during the first seven years of your life. MOST importantly, she has learned that it’s never too late for Development Do-Overs.
As her coaching client, you seek to live your full potential, and she empowers you with the SASS you need. What if you could integrate the essence of those Success Strategies into your relationships? You can, starting today.
A nationally respected thought leader in early care and education (ECE), Carol is former president of the board for Child Care Aware® of America, and the ECE System Integration, Consultant for Early Care Plus, a technology innovation company re-inventing access for all parents and caregivers to the ecosystem of ECE services.
A PhD in Developmental Psychology and stellar career working with hundreds of children and families nearly crashed and burned just as it was getting started when Carol faced her ACEs in her 30s. But rather than become that nosedive and trail of smoke, she rose from the ashes of her loss, grief, and trauma.
She rebuilt her SASS from the ground up and has now committed her terceñiera—the “third act” of her life—to sharing this wisdom and lifting others on the rise. A recognized thought leader in her professional world, Carol also earned an MA in Early Childhood Education and Behavior Analysis, a BA in Human Development and Family Life, with a minor in Psychology, and a BA in Anthropology, prior to completing her Doctorate.
Many career leadership roles and a vast network of influential colleagues in public education; higher education; local, state, and federal public policy work; private philanthropy; and social-impact NGOs infuse her work today with a breadth and depth of perspective impossible to find in any other success coach. Two core truths guide her now, every day…
You’re not stuck with what you grew up with!
